Crew Management

This to us is making up teams of well qualified, experienced, professionals. Crew being the most important factor in ship management, the quality of the people working onboard a vessel is the key to success.

As crew managers we undertake the full crew of management, relieving the owner of all day to day matters. In cases where the owners for reasons of tonnage tax or otherwise decide to manage their crew themselves we would be a quality crew supplier.

Our on demand personnel administration system gives real-time access to all personnel data as well as digital copies of all relevant licenses and course certificates. The system also facilitates detailed planning and statistical analysis.

Ship Management

We offer excellent ship management services having specialized in multi-purpose tonnage and bring more than the expected competence in maintaining vessels to a high standard.

MMM at present provides ship management for two clients namely Reederei Eugen Friederich (REF) of Bremen, Germany and Mercantile Shipping Company Limited (MSCL) of Sri Lanka. The vessels managed are multi purpose vessels ranging from 4000 DWT to 18000 DWT trading world wide.

We are expanding our fleet with our clients new building of four multi-purpose vessels of 12,500 DWT built in China and two multi-purpose vessels of 7800 DWT being built in the Netherlands.

Training

The Mercantile Seamen Training Institute (MSTI) is the jewel in the crown of Mercantile Marine Management. MSTI having been established in 1986 has a long history and has over the years provided us with excellent seamen who have gone on to be Officers and Masters on our vessels.

We train aspiring young men to become confident Seamen be it as an Officer or a Rating. The dual system training with theoretical training ashore and practical experience onboard covers the traditional maritime subjects and additional subjects ranging from Leadership and team building to Personal Hygiene and ship security awareness. English being the medium of instruction and communication ensures that all trainees are proficient.
